Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho broke goal droughts as Manchester United beat Leicester City but suffered another injury blow.

Christian Eriksen smacked the woodwork in the first half after exchanging passes with Fernandes as United struggled to break down their hosts.
And after 28 minutes Rasmus Hojlund ended his 22 hours and 14 minutes goal drought – over 21 games in 3 months and since December 12 – after Fernandes provided the ammunition for the Dane to end United’s run of not scoring in the first half from open play.
United suffered a second half injury blow when Ayden Heaven was stretched off after 51 minutes of his Premier League debut to be replaced by Toby Collyer after tangling with Patson Daka who was going for goal.
The Reds thought they were 2-0 up after 57 minutes after Hojlund threaded the ball to Alejandro Garnacho who drilled the ball home after cutting inside only for VAR to confirm the Argentine was offside.
But 10 minutes later Garnacho was ending his own goal drought (24 games since November 28th last year) after finding the bottom corner after an attempt to tackle Fernandes by Jamie Vardy saw the ball fall nicely for the United player.
That was the cue for a triple change for United with Harry Amass making his United debut coming on at left wing back
Mathijs De Ligt denied Leicester a late consolation after the Dutch defender blocked Facundo Buonanotte’s shot after Vardy unselfishly squared to him.
Hojlund was given warm applause by the travelling fans when he was withdrawn after 85 minutes with Chido Obi coming on to finish the game for the Reds.
And after another good performance from Bruno Fernandes the United captain celebrated with a goal of his own in the 90th minute after sweeping home Diogo Dalot’s cutback from the edge of the box.
Andre Onana, who had been an injury doubt before this game, made his second of two big saves from Vardy to keep a rare clean sheet for the Reds who saw the game out.
