PLAYER RATINGS – Manchester United 3, West Ham 1 (FA Cup Round 5)
David De Gea: 8. One on one save to deny Michail Antonio after he broke free with the ball. Also saved from Pablo Fornals, Said Benrahma, Antonio again, and Tomas Soucek. Result could have been very different without him.
Diogo Dalot: 6. Steady game from the full back.
Harry Maguire: 6. Stood his ground against Tomas Soucek. Booked for bringing Michael Antonio down.
Victor Lindelof: 6. Good block to prevent Michail Antonio getting the ball.
Tyrell Malacia: 7. Great attacking presence but left extra work for Victor Lindelof and later Lisandro Martinez as he was often caught out defensively.
Scott McTominay: 6. Had a header cleared but was taken off after getting booked.
Marcel Sabitzer: 6. Forced a one handed save from Alphonse Areola early on
Antony: 6. Curled an early one over the bar, looked up for it and elusive on the ball but faded.
Bruno Fernandes: 6. Relatively quiet by his standards.
Alejandro Garnacho: 8. Good approach play down the left and engaged in battle of wits and trickery with Ben Johnson for command of his flank. Deserved a great winning goal right at the end.
Wout Weghorst: 7. Glad to have been called offside after missing a sitter from 6 yards out. Skied a great second half chance too but kept on working hard and created both of United’s late goals to win the tie with some hard pressing and shooting.
Casemiro (on for Scott McTominay, 46): 7. Had a great long range shot saved by Alphonse Areola. Thought he had scored equaliser but was ruled offside by VAR but once again proved a calming presence for the Reds.
Lisandro Martinez (on for Victor Lindelof, 58): 6. Overpowered by Michail Antonio as West Ham sought a second goal but gritted his teeth and got stuck in.
