Salford City’s home Sky Bet League Two game against Walsall on Saturday, December 10 has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
An EFL referee inspected at lunchtime today (Friday) and wasn’t confident that with the forecasted temperatures the pitch would be playable.
Salford took preventative measures this week including keeping kick off at 3pm to give the pitch the best chance of thawing out, and putting covers down, but the temperatures have simply been too low for even them to be effective.
The club has no indication yet when the game may be re-scheduled, but it is expected to be in the new year.
