Salford City have signed midfielder Jack Jenkins on loan from Leeds United.
The 20-year-old moves to The Peninsula Stadium for the 2022-23 season in his first loan move away from Elland Road.
He made his Leeds United debut in the FA Cup in January 2021, and has appeared four times for the Under-21s in the EFL Trophy, including in Salford’s 5-3 win last season.
Former loanee Robbie Gotts also had a good word to say in Jack’s decision to join.
Jenkins said: “He thought it was a very good move for me, he messaged me before and he’s had nothing but great things to say about the fans, the team, so going off that it made me want to come even more.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to get started, it’s a club with ambition and I’m delighted to be here. The move was boiling around the last week or so and as soon as I had the go-ahead I wanted to be here.
“I’m a box-to-box midfielder, I like to get on the ball and dominate, thread passes through, drive with the ball and I like to score goals as well.
“The way the club plays football is how I like and want to play. It’s a club with a lot around it and I want to help Salford get up to where it wants to be.”
