Details of Manchester City men’s team captain Vincent Kompany’s testimonial in September 2019 have been confirmed after his emotional farewell to the club.
Kompany will play for City one more time when he leads out a Manchester City legends side at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, September 11, at 7.45pm.
All proceeds will go to Tackle4MCR – the initiative that was set up by Kompany alongside Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham, to address rough sleeping and homelessness in Manchester.
Supporters can expect City favourites from recent past and present to play alongside the captain up against familiar Premier League stars of the last decade.
There will also be some special guests for Vincent’s testimonial along with the chance to say farewell to City’s iconic skipper.

Nikita Parris to join Olympique Lyonnais Feminin
Manchester City have confirmed that striker Nikita Parris has joined French club Lyon.
Liverpool-born Parris, 25, announced her departure last week and will be reunited at the six time European Champions with former Manchester City team mates Lucy Bronze and Izzy Christiansen.
The striker scored 62 goals in 127 appearances for City while helping Nick Cushing’s side rack up two FA Cups, two Continental Cups, a league title, and two Champions League semi-finals.
Lyon are the overwhelming world powerhouse of Women’s football, having recently won their fourth UEFA Women’s Champions League title in a row during a 4-1 win over a Barcelona side in Budapest containing another former City forward – Toni Duggan.
