Fans of Manchester City looking for Christmas gifts can shop this year’s festive range both online and at the Manchester City store located at the Etihad Stadium after the launch today of the latest Christmas campaign.
The campaign features Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Steph Houghton and Demi Stokes with a promotional photo also including Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
They were joined by two Junior Cityzens – Alfie and Amelia – who had come to the City Football Academy to join in a Christmas photo opportunity.
The youngsters had no idea that they would be meeting their favourite players on set.
And they were joined by Club Ambassador Mike Summerbee, who is part of the annual Christmas photo for the fourth consecutive year.
The campaign also highlights the Club’s community work both in Manchester and around the world.
This year, City will donate a ball to one of the one of the Club’s global Cityzens Giving community projects for every football sold in the store or online.
Cityzens Giving provides resources for projects across 18 cities around the world, with fans given the opportunity to vote how funding will be shared.
This initiative forms part of the Club’s wider community activity in Manchester during the festive period.
Kevin de Bruyne said: “We had a lot of fun at the Christmas photoshoot this year, especially surprising two fans on the day.
“This will be my fourth Christmas at Manchester City and it’s always an exciting time of year in football. The support from our fans helps motivate us through the busy schedule and I hope they enjoy this festive time with the Club.”
Nuria Tarre, Chief Marketing Officer at City Football Group, said: “This year’s Christmas campaign echoes the positive sentiment currently felt by City fans all around the world, following a record-breaking season and such a positive start to our 18/19 campaign.
“Players and fans are ‘Walking in a City Wonderland’, a spirit that we’ve captured in light-hearted festive imagery and our great range of Christmas merchandise on sale for all the family.
“Community is at the heart of everything the Club does, and I’m delighted we are once more integrating Cityzens Giving into this year’s campaign.
“I’d encourage our fans to shop with us if they’re planning to buy a football this Christmas, so we can continue to support communities around the world through the power of football.”
The festive range will also be available to shop at Manchester City’s pop-up store at the annual Manchester Christmas Markets from November 9.
