Oldham Athletic has released seven players in the wake of the club’s relegation to Sky Bet League Two.
The out-of-contract players, not offered new deals, are defender Brian Wilson, midfield players Abdelhakim Omrani, Paul Green and Ollie Banks, winger Kallum Mantack along with forwards Tope Obadeyi and Mason Fawns.
Latics have also revealed they have offered new contracts to Jamie Stott and Ryan McLaughlin and also take up options to extend the stays of Cameron Dummigan and Ousmane Fane.
The club says it is also in discussions with Wilfried Moimbe, Jonathan Benteke and Gevaro Nepomuceno over new contracts.
In a further development at Boundary Park following a shareholders’ meeting, Latics have also disclosed Simon Corney is no longer chairman of the football club and he has been removed from the board of directors.
When Abdullah Lemsagan took over the club earlier this year, it was agreed previous owner Mr Corney remained as chairman.
