Nathaniel Chalobah and Harry Maguire are two new faces in Gareth Southgate’s latest 28-man England squad.
Versatile Chalobah is England’s most capped youth international and signed for Watford this summer from Chelsea while Maguire’s performances at centre back for Leicester City following his summer move from Hull City have seen him get recognition.
They join Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as the only uncapped players in the senior squad for World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovakia.
England have a two point lead in Group F with a total of four games to go and go to bottom of the table Malta on September 1 with a home game against Slovakia at Wembley three days later.
