ACCRINGTON STANLEY 2, OLDHAM ATHLETIC 2
New-signing Courtney Duffus made a goalscoring debut for Oldham Athletic in a pre-season friendly draw at Accrington Stanley.
The 21-year-old striker, captured from Everton, certainly made an instant impact as a half-time substitute.
Duffus won Latics a penalty for their opening goal and then hit a late leveller at the Wham Stadium.
Latics, without the injured Brian Wilson, Paul Green and Dan Gardner, fell behind to a 16th minute goal from Billy Kee.
After struggling to create chances in the opening half, Duffus made a difference after the restart when his goalbound shot was handled and Craig Davies equalised from the spot.
Latics, missing an influential figure in midfield, fell behind for a second time with 13 minutes left when a long-range strike from Mekhi McLeod went in off the upright.
After pressing for a leveller, Latics were rewarded five minutes from time when Duffus found the net with a fiercely struck low drive as each of their last three friendlies have ended in stalemate.
