FA Cup draw pits holders Manchester United against Chelsea
Chelsea will host Manchester United in what is sure to be the pick of the FA Cup Quarter Final draws.
It will mean a return to Stamford Bridge for Mourinho who will be keen to avenge the 4-0 Premier League reverse that the Reds suffered in October last year.
Mourinho has already begun the mind-games by claiming that his former club, who are eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, were already ‘Champions’ and didn’t have to worry about the European and EFL Cup fixture pile-up that United had on their plate.
The winner of the replay tie between Manchester City and Huddersfield Town, provisionally scheduled for Tuesday February 28, will travel to Middlesbrough.
If City successfully get past the Terriers their tie at Middlesbrough will be their seventh consecutive away draw in the FA Cup although they may not mind avoiding the likes of United, Chelsea, Spurs, and perhaps Arsenal who remain in the competition.
Sutton United or Arsenal will host Lincoln City, who beat Burnley at Turf Moor in a weekend of Cup shocks which also saw Millwall beat Premier League champions Leicester City at the New Den and were rewarded with a trip across London to Tottenham.
