The FA Cup fourth round draw was made tonight and will see holders Manchester United given a home tie against Championship strugglers Wigan Athletic.
United beat Reading 4-0 in their third round tie and manager Jose Mourinho will relish the prospect of a game against a side who have never won at Old Trafford – losing each of their 8 previous visits with an aggregate score of 1-28.
Wigan manager Warren Joyce was previously involved with United’s reserve team since 2008 and joined the Latics on November 2 after Gary Caldwell was sacked.
Former United midfielder Ravel Morrison has been reportedly training with the Wigan after leaving Lazio having made just eight appearances in 18 months.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City were the last team to the drawn out out and face a trip to the winners of the Third Round replay between Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers which will be played on January 17.
City were away in the Third Round and demolished West Ham at the London Stadium.
