David Moyes has rejected repeated suggestions that Robin Van Persie is unhappy at Old Trafford.
Reacting to further speculation about the Dutch striker who is reported to have asked for a transfer earlier this week, Moyes was quick to deny the rumour with the likes of Real Madrid circling Europe’s top clubs for a striker.
“Rubbish, absolute nonsense.” said Moyes.
Rio Ferdinand had earlier described Moyes’ selection policy – naming the team just before kick off rather than getting advance notice under Sir Alex Ferguson.
He described the wait as ‘hard’ and making the players ‘nervous’.
“You’re just going round in circles in your head and turning into a madman.” he said.
