The BBC report that Carlos Tevez is set to sign for Juventus in a deal worth up to £12m deal subject to a medical.
The Argentine striker, 29, is in the final year of his City contract and could sign a 3 year deal with the Italian champions after they came in with an offer for him.
Tevez’ exit could save City £27m when his fee of £10m rising to £12m plus his wages and bonuses are added together – a massive contribution towards balancing City’s books with FIFA’s Financial Fair Play rules imminent.
His City stats make impressive reading, with 74 goals from 148 appearances, and a fine work ethic on the pitch that has made him a firm fan favourite but his relationship with former City manager Roberto Mancini was damaged after an incident at Bayern Munich in 2011 during a Champions League match after he refused to come on as a substitute.
City are now seeking a replacement but have already said they will not pay the £53m asking price for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani who has also been strongly linked to Real Madrid.
