Manchester City FC are delighted to announce the final first-team pre-season fixture ahead of the 2013/14 campaign will be against Arsenal in Helsinki on Saturday, August 10th.
The ‘Super Match by Carlsberg’ will kick-off at 5pm local time at the 40,000-capacity Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital and will be the final game of the Blues’ pre-season.
It is the first time two Premier League clubs have met in Finland and ticket prices will start from €29.
City played Arsenal as part of the 2012/13 pre-season tour of Asia in the Bird’s Nest Arena, China.
City’s Chief Executive Officer Ferran Soriano said: “This is the perfect way to end our pre-season preparations before the 2013/14 campaign begins.
“We know Arsenal will provide our team with a very competitive match and we are looking forward to what should be a memorable occasion to close a pre-season tour that also sees us visit South Africa, Hong Kong and Germany.
“Helsinki is a fantastic city and we are excited about playing in front of our many Finnish City supporters in a country where we know there is such passion for English football.”
