Manchester United manager David Moyes faces a tough run of games in his first season in charge at Old Trafford with away trips to Swansea on August 17, Liverpool on August 31 and Manchester City coming on September 21. His first Old Trafford game will see Jose Mourinho and Chelsea as the visitors on August 24 with newly promoted Championship play-off winners Crystal Palace making the trip up north on September 14.
Manuel Pellegrini will be under pressure to make an early impact with a more forgiving early Manchester City fixture list. City host Newcastle United on August 17 and Hull City on August 31 prior to welcoming United to the Etihad on September 21 between away trips to Cardiff City on August 24 and a meeting with Mark Hughes’ Stoke City on September 14.
Both clubs will be keeping an eye out for the return derby on March 1 when both clubs will expect to be firmly in the race for the Barclays Premier League title.
