Jesus Navas has signed for Manchester City on a four-year deal with a fee believed to be £14.9m following a successful medical in New York.
The 27-year old right winger will make the move the move from Sevilla to link up with Spain team-mate David Silva after the Confederations Cup and a short holiday.
Navas said:
“Manchester City is an exciting project and this is the right moment for me to take this step. I’m very happy with the opportunity and the decision.
“The Premier League is a competition where the football is very fast and will suit the way I play. I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’m going to a great club in England and I want to continue developing my game there. The Club has put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay them out on the pitch.”
The City squad is notably short of pace and width in attacking positions and the signing of Navas will go towards rebalancing the squad over the summer.
City have yet to announce the identity of their new manager but it’s believed to be former Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini.
