Supporters of both Manchester United and Manchester City have been handed the chance to ditch their club shirt with the name Tevez on it and help charity at the same time.
Bookmakers Betfair have organised for ‘Trash Your Tevez shirt’ skips to be available at Old Trafford on the morning of the derby game on Sunday and fans of either side can dump their unwanted shirts bearing the name of the wantaway striker into the relevant coloured skip.
In return, they will receive a brand new replica club shirt and their unwanted one will be handed to local charities or perhaps even sent back to Argentina.
Tevez famously signed for City from United, a move which didn’t endear him to United fans, and was suspended by City this season following an alleged refusal to come on as a substitute in a recent Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
Tevez, who has recently been linked with a whole host of clubs following controversial scenes in the City dugout at the Allianz Arena in Munich, has been training alone since completing a club suspension and awaits the results of an internal club investigation into the incident.
